ART THERAPY, MENTAL HEALTH & CHRONIC PAIN COUNSELLING (Fee for Service)
Based in Albany, Danita (Art Therapist and Mental Health Occupational Therapist) provides Art Therapy, mental health counselling, and chronic pain counselling to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, behaviour, stressful life events and any situation that may impact your mental and emotional well-being.
We accept self-referrals and there are costs associated with Danita’s counselling services. See your family GP to discuss if a Mental Health Plan may be appropriate for rebates via Medicare.
As an approved NDIS provider, these services can be accessed using NDIS funding where appropriate.
DIABETES EDUCATION
Whether you are an adult, teen or child at risk of developing diabetes or are living with diabetes, our team of Credentialed Diabetes Educators, Kerry, Lindsey, Kerri and Rachel, can help you to understand and manage your condition.
Self-referrals are accepted however if you are living with a chronic condition, we suggest you discuss this with your GP as you may be entitled to claim the Medicare rebate under a chronic disease management plan. Under this plan, if you are eligible, you can receive up to 5 visits within a calendar year.
DIETETICS
Dietitians Ana, Hannah and Sophie are available to help modify the dietary behaviour of children, teens, adults and older people, to improve their health through good nutrition.
Through the various stages of our lives, it's important to maintain a healthy diet and good eating habits. For many and varied reasons this can often be a challenge for some people. At Amity Health, our Dietitians can provide individualised nutrition therapy to support you on your journey to improved health.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
So what is Occupational Therapy? It’s a health service that helps people to participate in all the things we do in our everyday lives that help us to live meaningful lives.
If you are a teen, adult, or parent of a child experiencing difficulties in a range of areas such as developmental delay, fine and gross motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care such as dressing and mealtimes, or perhaps you’ve had a stroke or had surgery for a hip replacement?
Our OT’s Renae, Jeannette and Georgia, can provide assessment and therapy to support you to live a comfortable life. Talk to your GP or give us a call.
PSYCHOLOGY
As part of our Fee for Service Mental Health team, Amity Health offers Psychology and counselling services with Registered Psychologist, Brigid Morrigan. Brigid delivers psychological and counselling support for clients aged between 10 and 67 years of age, with mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief, stress and trauma related difficulties, and other emotional and self-regulation concerns.

SPEECH PATHOLOGY
Are you an adult, parent of a child, teenager or young adult experiencing difficulties with your speech, language, communication difficulties and swallowing? At Amity Health, our Speech Pathologist Sasha can work alongside you and provide an assessment and therapy to help you manage your speech concerns.
Additionally, if you or someone you know is experiencing speech-related challenges from disabilities such as Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities and Down Syndrome, our team are here to assist.
